Unlike a cosmetology program, our 4- Week Professional program allows students to focussolely on the art and techniques of makeup artistry. During the final 14 hours of the 4- weekprogram, students can study a specific concentration, such as TV & Music Video Makeup, PeriodMakeup (1920s- Present) andFashion & Runway Makeup. Upon completion of the program,students receive a Diploma and have an opportunity to participate in a professional photo shootto begin their portfolios. For those who take any of our workshops, they too have the ability to addthe photo shoot to their professional careers, or any add- on program. Jonny has also learned the skillof airbrushing and special effects makeup to keep up with the needs of his growing clientele.SHAUN GIBSONMakeup InstructorShaun began his makeup career at the Art Institute of Philadelphia while pursuing his degree inFine Arts and Industrial Design. Shaun spent time working with MAC Cosmetics and has workedat such publications as O Magazine, Highlights, Seventeen, In Style and the New York Post.CASSI HURDHair InstructorCassi’s experience covers all aspects of the entertainment industry including film, fashion,editorial, television, in- salon, bridal, print, commercial, and sales. Cassi works in the creativeworld of hair and makeup industry and is a freelance artist with MTV production.MARINA GUIDOSHair & Makeup Instructor (relief)Marina comes to ChicNYC as a relief instructor. Her background spans assisting during NYFashion Week, as well TV, music videos, commercial and editorial work. Currently, Marinafreelances and volunteers her free time for "Dress for Success."7

ADMISSIONSHOW TO ENROLLTo apply to Chic Studios all prospective students must complete an Application for Admission withsuporting documents and submit a nonrefundable application fee and refundable tuition deposit.Please visit our website for a downloadable version.All students must be 18 or over on the first day of class in order to be enrolled or take any programs atChic Studios NYC.Upon acceptance to Chic Studios, students are required to complete an Enrollment Agreement and paythe balance of tuition prior to the first day of class.REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSIONChic Studios offers Professional Training and Specialty Programs for the amateur/beginning makeup artist,intermediate and advanced student.Admission to all programs requires an application for admission, non- refundable application fee and arefundable tuition deposit.All students must have English language proficiency. If English is not your first language, you must submitproof of English language proficiency. If English is not your first language, you must demonstrate Englishlanguage proficiency.
