Crosby was an engineer at heart. As aquality engineer developing the Pershing Missile, heconceptualized the idea of Zero Defects. He isinternally recognised for his ideas on qualitymanagement practices.I have shared the idea to my class teacher, and wewill start implementing in our classroom first andthen whole School”.His belief was that an organization that establisheda quality program will see savings returns that morethan pay off the cost of the quality program “qualityis free”. Quality is Free likely sits on the bookshelvesof many across the world. Crosby’s response toquality crises was the principle of “doing it right forthe first time”Page 3
