Experts include a full-time attorneywho has extensive experience with in-home careregulations, rule-making, and implementation.Members are updated on regulatory developmentsand matters effecting operations and the pursuit ofquality care.Policymakers regularly make important public policydecisions that affect the long term care profession atthe local, state, and federal level. We work with electedleaders, candidates, state agencies, and communityadvocates to ensure that Oregon remains a nationalleader in providing excellent long term care.Just recently, the Oregon Health Care Association(OHCA) was able to accomplish lofty goals in the 2019Oregon Legislative Session on behalf of our in-homecare and home health agency members: OHCA’s government relations team secured 5%annual cost of living adjustments for in-home careMedicaid rates (marking 4-years in a row of 5%increases) and full funding for the state’s caregivertraining initiative, Oregon Care Partners, which is afree training program for caregivers. Our government relations team also spent atremendous amount of time and effort to impactand substantially soften Senate Bill 669, whichspecifically targeted in-home care agencies. In itsoriginal form, SB 669 would assuredly have causedseveral agencies to close while also negativelyimpacting our day to day operations and the carewe provide.We have also worked throughout 2020 to help inhome care agency members contain and mitigateCOVID-19.OHCA’s Political Action Committee (PAC) exists in orderto support bipartisan candidates, parties, or ballotmeasures that we determine will support OHCA’smission of improving quality long term care in Oregon.Membership DirectoryAll care provider members, including in-home care andhome health agency members, and business partnersare listed in this annual publication, distributed to allOHCA provider members, business partner members,and key stakeholders.Online Referral ListingAll OHCA care provider members, including in-homecare and home health agency members, are listedon our Facility Finder tool on our website: www.ohca.com/facility-finder.
