You can choose whatever color scheme you wish.There is a variations page that shows various different looks that are possible depending on whichcolors and shades you choose.The Fabric Choice page identifies each color/shade in the pattern with a Letter or Number,number of squares of each color, and the total amount of fabric needed for the ranges of finishedsquare sizes.The fabric amounts listed are rounded up to the next 1/8 yard,some fabric will be left over when you have cut the requirednumber of squares.For easier reference, circle your finished square size column onboth the 45” and 60” Fabric Choice Pages. This will help youmore easily find the specific quantity of fabric needed for eachfabric choice/type.Fabric Choice4. DECIDE ON YOUR FABRIC CHOICESChoose & Purchase your desired fabrics and shades. ORAGANIZE YOUR FABRIC SQUARE CONTAINERS AND LABEL THEMAfter Cutting, Place each stack/group of different color/shadesquares into a separate container; A plastic bag, bowl or othercontainer for each color/shade.Label each container with the matching letter/color label on theLabels Page. Make sure all the containers are within reach ofyour sewing machine.LabelsUse the letter codes on the Row Pattern Pages and the fabric square containers to select thecorrect next fabric square to sew.7. SEW THE REQURED NUMBER OF COPIES OF EACH NUMBERED ROWThe Row Sewing Instruction Pages use both color and letter toindicate the identity of each square in the pattern.Sew the indicated number of copies of each row.Some patterns may only have one or two rows that have multiplecopies, so if there is more than one label with that number,double check the Row Sewing Guide.Row GuideTo keep track of where you are in the row, cross off each square on the pattern page as you finishadding that fabric square to all copies of each row you sew.8. ADD LABELS FROM LABEL PAGE TO THE LEFT END OF EACH ROWAfter you sew a few squares in a row, Pin the appropriate label from the label page to theLEFT/BEGINNING side of each row.Safety Pins are a safe and hassle free way to attach the labels to each row.These labels will allow you to sew the correct rows together without worrying about losing trackof which row is which.
