A. Territorial coverage and duration ofthe insuranceThe insurance covers rentals of Holiday Homes in Denmark.The insurance cover begins from the payment of deposit/rent to therental agency and ends with the commencement of the tenancyperiod. The coverages C.2. Interruption, C.3. Contents Liability andC.4. Emergency Medical Services, ends however, with thetermination of tenancy.B. Who is insured?This insurance policy covers the individuals specified in the rentalagency’s confirmation of reservation, as well as any travelcompanions – hereinafter referred to as “Insured”.C. Insured losses and risk individualsC.1 Cancellation insurance withoutexcessC.1.1 Which losses are covered by the insurance?This insurance cover applies when the accommodation cannot beused as planned, if the Insured or a risk individual is affected by oneof the incidents below during the period of insurance: Death Severe, acute illnessb) In the event of delay in arriving at the accommodation venue,resulting from causes specified under section 1.1 (“Which lossesare covered by the insurance?”), the insurance policy coversunutilised holiday days in the amount of the per diem price ofthe trip. A holiday day is defined as unutilised if arrival issubsequent to 12.00 noon.c) In the event of delayed arrival due to mass transit delays lastingmore than two (2) hours, the insurance covers the documentedextra expenditure for the commencement of the trip – thoughnot in excess of the expenditure for the cancellation of theentire trip.C.1.1.4 ExemptionThe insurance policy does not cover prepaid expenses for hotel andtransportation relating to a delay in arriving at the accommodationvenue.C.1.1.5 Loss conditionsIn each loss, the Insured shall notify the rental agency of thisimmediately, enclosing the requisite documentation. For damageto contents, the Insured shall acknowledge the loss in question.Gouda’s liability to pay damages is conditional on the following:a) that the Insured cancels the accommodation immediately afterthe occurrence of the insurance event and forward the tenancyagreement from the rental agency;b) that the Insured obtains a medical certificate from the treating Severe injurydoctor, with a diagnosis (to be paid by the Insured), and that Acute worsening of an existing illnessthe Insured, at the request of Gouda’s doctor, provides access to Vaccination hypersensitivityall relevant medical records, including information about Pregnancy arising during the period of insuranceprevious courses of illness; that in the event of interruption, the Significant damage to property resulting from fire, naturalInsured seeks a doctor at the accommodation venue beforephenomena or vandalism Unexpected termination of full-time employment Commencement of new employment, if the individual wasunemployed and the job centre has approved the trip at thetime of booking the accommodation.C.1.1.2 Risk individuals Insured’s close relatives; A person who is charge of minors or relatives requiring care, yetsaid minors and relatives not being fellow travellers.C.1.1.3 What is covered by the insurance?a) If the accommodation has not commenced, the insurancecovers the expenditure which the Insured shall pay to the rentalagency in accordance with the tenancy agreement.departure, that, in the event of death, the Insured encloses adeath certificate;c) that, in the event of termination of full-time employment, theInsured submits a letter of termination of employment;d) that the Insured submits a document from the job centreconfirming the centre’s acceptance of the bookedaccommodation, as well as the new employment contract todocument the new employment relationship;C.2 InterruptionC.2.1 Scope of the coverIn the event of an interruption of the holiday stay for reasonsstipulated in Cover C.1, the insurance will cover unutilised holidaydays in the amount of the per diem price of the trip. If interruptionoccurs subsequent to 12 noon, compensation will be paid from thefollowing day. The insurance policy also covers unutilised transport.3

C.2.2 Loss conditionsb) For objects more than two (2) years old, the compensation is toIf an interruption occurs, the rental agency must be notified of thisbe calculated on the basis of the replacement cost for anwithout delay. Themaximum cover for damage to window panes, basins, bowls andkitchen worktops is DK 8.000, however.C.3.2 Scope of the coverThe insurance covers the liability assumed by the Insured inaccordance with the general rules on liability for non-contractualdamages to the contents of the rented holiday dwelling during theperiod of insurance, including damage to panes, bowls and basins,as well as kitchen worktops.C.3.3 ExceptionsThe insurance policy does not cover:a) ordinary wear and tear, scratches, dents, dirt or gradualdeterioration;b) theft committed by the Insured or its guests;c) intentional damage caused by the Insured;d) damage caused by the Insured during self-inflicted intoxicationor during the self-inflicted influence of narcotics or otherintoxicants when the effect is a significant contributory cause ofthe damage;e) damage caused by a pet; this exception does not apply to theInsured’s dog;f) damage to cycles and vessels, including windsurfing boards,surfboards, canoes and kayaks, as well as components forthese;g) cosmetic damage to bowls and basins, including jacuzzis andwhirlpool baths;h) damage to swimming pools and the water contained in them.C.3.4 Policy excessThe excess per loss is DKK 500.C.3.5 Calculation of compensationa) Objects whose documented age is less than two (2) years andwhich were otherwise undamaged before the damage occurredare to be replaced at the replacement cost for an equivalentnew object.420% of the new replacement value.c) Gouda may choose to have damaged objects repaired or to payan amount equivalent to the decrease in value.d) Gouda is entitled, but not obliged, to replace in kind.C.3.6 Acknowledgement of liability in damagesGouda is solely liable to pay for expenditure that has been incurredwith Gouda’s approval. The Insured’s acknowledgement orpayment of a claim for damages does not place an obligation onGouda. By acknowledging the claim for damages, the Insured riskshaving to pay the claim for damages himself/herself.C.3.7 Loss conditionsIn each loss, the Insured shall notify the rental agency of thisimmediately, enclosing the requisite documentation. For damageto contents, the Insured shall acknowledge the loss in question.C.3.8 Double insuranceThe insurance does not cover expenditure covered by anotherinsurance policy.C.3.9 IndemnificationIf a loss is covered by an insurance of property policy, pursuant tothe Danish Act on Liability in damages, the liability in damages ofthe person causing the loss, and thus the cover of the third-partyliability insurance, ceases to be in effect, unless the damage/losswas caused intentionally or resulted from gross negligence.C.4 Emergency Medical Services 24/7During the tenancy, the Insured has access to Gouda’s 24/7Emergency Medical Service in the event of both minor and severeillness. By contacting the Gouda Alarm Centre, the Insured canreceive advice and guidance concerning medical treatment andmedicine.
