The automotive department has decided to focus other alternative fuelsources and does not feel a 4 unit course on home-brew biodiesel production is necessary. This decisionis based upon feedback from students and our advisory committee. The relevant topics of biodiesel will becovered in our AT 316 Alternative Fuels course. In addition the diesel technology program will continueto offer this class through their DCDT102 course code for students who are interested in large scale andhome-brew bio-diesel production.*CISN 110 Networking Technologies – Preparation for N Certification (Revision)Randy Nordell presented in place of the Developer. This course is being revised to meet currentcurriculum standards. Advisories have been added since Network was designed to build on A trainingso it is assumed that students taking this course have a background in computer support techniques. Ifyou do not feel you have the background it is recommended that you take CISC 361 and CISC 363 first inorder to be successful in this class.ELTRN 110 Electrician Trainee I (Revision)Joe Gilman presented in place of the Developer. Update textbooks.*ENGR 412 Properties of Materials (Revision)This proposal takes ENGR 413 (4.5 units), as it currently exists at American River College, andrevises it into ENGR 412 (4 units) to align it with the other Los Rios colleges. This course is required byfour-year institutions in California in order to transfer to several engineering programs. It is arequirement for ARC's Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering A.S. degrees.FITNS 303 Dance Aerobics (Revision)Updating this course to meet current curriculum standards.*FITNS 304 Cardio Circuit (New to College)*FITNS 348 High-Intensity Interval Training (New to College)

They meet the needs of students wishingto focus on cardiovascular fitness utilizing both cardio and resistive equipment and machines in a pacedand directed fitness program. Tests were done and determined that this isnot necessary and we can stay with our current description formatting.4) When changing a catalog department name, the old catalog department name must be enteredmanually in the archives.5) When GE Areas “D” and “4” were changed to single alphanumeric entries from the previouslyused “D-1,2,3,4” and “4-a,b,c,d ” this caused a problem in searches.
