Definitions of ServicesAbbreviationsAcute Inpatient Hospitalizations-temporaryhospitalization typically lasting 24-48 hours and nolonger than 14 days with an emphasis on moodstabilization.AcuteCase Management-coordination of medical, mental andbehavioral health servicesComprehensive Child and Family Treatment-shortterm, intensive home-based therapeutic and casemanagement services for at-risk children and youth. 3sessions per week for an average of 90-120 days.TennCare onlyCMCCFTChemical Detoxification-a process of eliminating toxicsubstances from the system in a controlled and safeenvironment under 24 hour supervision.DetoxIntensive Outpatient Therapy-traditionally in a groupsetting to address mental and behavioral health issues. 3hour sessions held 3 times per week for about 9 weeks.IOPOutpatient Therapeutic Services-Sessions held on aweekly basis for about an hour per session.Traditionally services would last approximately 6months but could last longer. These sessions can beheld individually, with couples or in a group or familysetting.Residential Treatment-long term stay in a facility wheremood stabilization and skill building is the focus oftreatment. Most programs last 2-3 months.
