CAMPUS MINISTRY .Campus Ministry International has given young apostolics the opportunity toshare the good news of Jesus Christ. In a generation that struggles immenselywith sin, we find that it is so critical for us to share what we have. God has beenvery good to me; the least I can do is tell those around me so they can encounterand experience who He is. CMI means a lot to me because it has allowed me toshare the good news, it has allowed me to share Jesus. Jesus is the answer to thisdying world and young people have the divine privilege to reach the world withthis message starting with their college campus.Kathleen MehuSTUDYING NURSING ATDAYTONA STATE UCFEDUCATE EQUIP EMPOWERThe mission of Urshan is to prepare men and women to reach the world and equip the church by developingApostolic servant leaders. REACHING FOR THE CHILDRENEASTER FEST AT FRED LEEVACATION BIBLE SCHOOLTRUNK OR TREAT NIGHTTUPELO CHILDREN’S MANSIONTupelo Children’s Mansion is a nonprofit organization endorsed by the United Pentecostal Church International, and is home to children who have been removed from a variety of situations. Here, at the Mansion, they are safe, well cared for and loved by the amazing TCM Staff. I began working at Tupelo Children’s Mansion in January of2021. Prior to coming here, I knew that working with children was part of God’s plan. I always assumed it meantI would be involved in orphanages overseas. Little did I know that I would be here, doing exactly what I’m meantto do and loving every bit of it. Being a part of the Mansion is truly a blessing.I have never felt led to be a teacher in any setting. I have substituted Sunday School classes at Eastwind, andtaught the Sunday School class at the Sebastian campus a couple of years ago. But as far as academics go, teaching was a ‘no’ from me! However, God has a sense of humor and a plan. Upon arriving at the Mansion, I was askedto be the Haven of Hope classroom supervisor. The girls work out of paces by grade level and only ask for helpwhen needed. After the end of the school year, I was asked to transition over to the main school, Tupelo Children’sMansion Academy. This came as a little bit of a shock, considering the fact that I had very little prior teachingexperience, but I took a step of faith and made the move. Not only am I teaching the children, but they are alsoteaching me more about myself. God definitely equips the called and gives us what we need to keep going! The children at the Mansion are blessed beyond measure. They receive the utmost care, and are provided withschooling as well as an on-campus church. Some of the older residents are able to participate in different areas ofministry. A few of those are praise team, nursery, volunteering in the cafeteria and the opportunity to work aroundthe campus. The residents are also able to participate in Bible Quizzing! The leadership does their best to teachthe kids the importance of hard work and dedication. We strive each day to instill Biblical principles into theirhearts. I have been blessed to not only watch the kids developin their relationship with God and with each other, but alsoto be a part of the amazing ministry of Tupelo Children’sMansion. On behalf of the residents, I thank you forall of the continued support, and prayers!Stacie JonesTHANKSGIVING BASKET FOOD DRIVEGO 2022I14www.eastwind.churchI15

MISSION’S TRIP TO MONTANAMISSION’S TRIP TO LOS ANGELESLos Angeles is known for the glamour and glitz. It’s a city fordreamers. Its nickname, “La La Land”, is fitting, even amongthe wealthy the city is full of empty people. My ApostolicYouth Corps (AYC) group saw the lost look in the eyes of thecity people. We talked with them about hope and prayedon their streets, and in their homes. I remember the firstdoor we knocked on during outreach was a single motherjust trying to make it day to day. I remember the peace thatentered her home as a group of young people prayed forher and her son. Her hope was restored. The second morning we arrived in Los Angeles, we drove into Downtown LAto serve the people of Skid Row. Roughly 36,000 peoplelive in boxes and tarps, susceptible to danger and diseasesdaily. I saw tears run down the faces of those that no longerwanted to live that lifestyle, but did not know how to find away out. Yet, I saw hope restored; that God would make away for them. I talked with people in the streets. I stoppedtheir busy lives for God’s light to shine just for a moment. Iheard many say, “This is what we’ve been looking for,” thenwatched them as they were baptized in the name of Jesus.Hundreds of flyers were handed out to people of many cultures: Hispanic, European, and Deaf are just a few examples.Hope was restored in the hearts of many Los Angelenosthat day.“What’s even in Montana?”, is a question I’ve been asked so many times this past year.I’ve felt a passion to expand my world view and to experience how other cultures live andAYC Montana was the perfect opportunity for me. The Native American culture is a bigpart of Montana’s history. However, today many are homeless and have turned to drugsand alcohol.AYC Montana was such an impactful experience for me! It was my first mission trip, and I had the opportunity to serve both the city of Cody and the Native Americancommunity. While in Cody, we had the opportunity to knock on doors and hand outtracks inviting people to the local church. On that Wednesday night, a lady we invitedto church showed up and was healed of her hearing, filled with the Holy Ghost, andwas baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. One of the highlights of the trip was serving andministering during the Wyola camp meeting on the Crow reservation. During Wyola camp meeting we served inmany ministries including children’s ministry, preparing and serving meals, assisted their media team, and leadpraise and worship. On the last day of camp, we went down to the river and was able to participate in 3 baptisms. The biggest takeaway from this trip was seeing how broken the Native American communities are. It opened myeyes to see that there are people living in the same country as me but have a totally different standard of livingthat almost seems like a third world country. AYC Montana has given me a burden for these communities. These experiences would not have been possible if AYCwas not offered to young people with a hunger to see Goddo the miraculous. Every year, hundreds of young peoplechoose to commit a week of their summer vacation to giveback. More often than not, the students are the ones thatcome back changed forever. They come back with a hunger for the will of God like never before and with a humilityknowing that while we are living comfortable lives, there areneighbors that need God just as much as we do. AYC hasforever changed me.Crystal TomlinsonDelono TomlinsonGO 2022I18www.eastwind.churchI19

This commission highlighted a worldwide revivial that would start on the Day of Pentecost inJerusalem and spread to the uttermost part of the world.year to cover these ministry efforts. This annual program, named Generosity Opportunties (GO), will give the churchand each giving member the ability to plan and budget forthe upcoming year. This revival permeated Jerusalem, Samaria, Judea, partsof Asia and eventually the world. This Church, Community, and Global model for ministry was fulfilled in the book ofActs and we have sought to model Eastwind in the samemanner.GO will not replace weekly tithes and offerings.
