Only individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older can take part in the Texas Hold’emPoker tournaments held at the Casino du Lac-Leamy (hereafter referred to as the “Tournament”),provided that they comply with the rules herein (hereafter referred to as the “Rules”) and are notregistered in a self-exclusion program operated by Loto-Québec through its online gaming site,gaming halls or casinos.2. In Bounty tournaments, the player who eliminates another player during a hand will win twentyfive dollars ( 25) for each player eliminated during the one-hundred-and-twenty ( 120) DeepStack Turbo tournament. Only the player with the highest hand during a game where a player iseliminated will receive the specified amount. If more than one (1) player have the same highesthand during a game where a player is eliminated, the amount is shared equally amongst thoseplayers.4. Subject to the application of Section 12 of the rules herein, as appropriate, each player will beallowed to register only once.5. Third‐party representation at the Tournament is strictly prohibited.6. Employees of the Société des casinos du Québec inc. (hereafter referred to as the “SCQ”) cannotplay in a Tournament.7. Position assignments at the start of the Tournament and at the beginning of the final game, asappropriate, will be determined by random draw.8. Players are responsible for checking the information indicated on their registration andassignment forms.9. All players will begin Tournament play at the same time.10. Players can register up until the end of the first break if positions remain available after theTournament start signal, for seventy-five-dollar ( 75) recurring tournaments and forty-dollar( 40) promotional tournaments, or until the second break for Deep Stack Turbo, Deep Stack TurboBounty and major tournaments. The stake for such players will be as indicated in Section 13 ofthe rules herein.11. Players who arrive after the start signal can join a Tournament, although they must take intoconsideration that the dealer will have collected chips in the amount of each blind that wouldhave been played had the player been present. However, players will be deemed to have droppedout of the Tournament as soon as one of the two following situations occurs: 1) their stake isinsufficient to cover the blind they would have had to play, had they been present, or 2) their rankduring the Tournament, had they been present, would have qualified them to win a Tournamentprize.12. If no unoccupied positions are available, players can, up until the end of Level 4, have their namesadded to a waiting list for a chance to play in the Tournament if a position becomes free followinga player’s elimination. This option can be chosen until the end of the first break if positions remainavailable after the Tournament start signal, for seventy-five dollar ( 75) recurring tournamentsand forty-dollar ( 40) promotional tournaments, or until the second break for Deep Stack Turbo,Deep Stack Turbo Bounty and major tournaments. The stake for such Players will be as indicatedin Section 13 of the rules herein.13. At the start of a Tournament, each player will receive non‐cashable tournament chips in theamount of:a. Five thousand dollars ( 5,000) for recurring seventy-five-dollar ( 75) tournaments.b. Twenty-five thousand dollars ( 25,000) for recurring ninety-five-dollar ( 95) DeepStack Turbo tournaments.c. Twenty thousand dollars ( 20,000) for recurring one-hundred-and-twenty-dollar( 120) Deep Stack Turbo Bounty tournaments and five-hundred-and-fifty ( 550)major tournaments.d. Fifteen thousand dollars ( 15,000) for forty-dollar ( 40) promotional tournaments.14. During a Tournament, tournament chips must always remain in the designated chip area on thetable and in sight of other players.15. No resupply will be permitted during a Tournament. Players who are eliminated from theTournament prior to the end of the first break for seventy-five-dollar ( 75) recurring tournamentsand forty-dollar ( 40) promotional tournaments, or until the second break for Deep Stack Turbo,Deep Stack Turbo Bounty and major tournaments, can, however, re‐register for the sameTournament subject to the conditions indicated in Sections 10 and 11 of the rules herein. At the end of the first break for seventy-five-dollar ( 75) recurring tournaments and forty-dollar( 40) promotional tournaments, or until the second break for Deep Stack Turbo, Deep Stack TurboBounty and major tournaments, players who consider their stake insufficient can surrender theirchips if allowed at the table. In this case, their name will be added to the waiting list for a chanceto take part in the same Tournament again, according to the order on the list, if and when a seatbecomes available. A Supervisor will remove abandoned chips from the Tournament.17. The game category will be “no limits.”18. For the first hand of a Tournament at each table, as well as for the first hand of the final game atthe table designated for that purpose, the dealer button will be placed in the first position on thedealer’s right.19. In all tournaments, the player in position for the big blind with the button must place an additionalbet according to the tournament type indicated in Appendix A. The amount of the requiredadditional bet is equal to the amount of the big blind and increases at the same time. The twoplayers to the left of the button pay the small and big blinds, respectively. When six (6) players orless (one table minimum) are left at a Tournament table, the amount of the required additionalbet will be equal to the small blind instead of the one indicated in Appendix A. In all cases, thehouse recovers the additional bet. A player will not pay the additional bet more than once perround. When there are two (2) players left in the Tournament, the additional bet is withdrawnand only blinds are required.20. Blind and additional bet amounts will increase at thirty-minute (30) intervals for majortournaments, at twenty-minute (20) intervals for seventy-five-dollar ( 75) recurring tournaments,and fifteen–minute (15) intervals for Deep Stack Turbo tournaments, Deep Stack Turbo Bountytournaments and promotional tournaments, in accordance with Appendix A.21. Breaks are announced at the start of the tournament.22. Players, whether or not they are present, must place their blinds and additional bets in accordancewith Section 19 of the rules herein at every interval until they exhaust their supply of chips. Shouldthe player be absent, the dealer will take the bet amounts from the player’s tournament chips, inaccordance with Section 10 and 11 of the rules herein.23. Players who are absent from the table when the last card of the initial deal is distributed will bedeemed to have surrendered.24. Tournament chips cannot be transferred and association among players will not be tolerated.25. During the Tournament, the Tournament Supervisor will balance off the number of players at eachtable as places free up due to elimination.26. The Tournament Supervisor can instruct the player who is next to place the big blind at the tableto move to another table and seat of the Supervisor’s choosing. The player must promptly transferto the new seat assignment and assume the responsibilities of that seat.27. When a table is closed to reassign players to other tables, position reassignment will bedetermined by random draw.28. When the number of non‐eliminated players approaches the number required for the final gameor the number of Tournament prizes, the Tournament Supervisor can order games to be playedone at a time until the appropriate number of players is reached.29. Once the number of players required for the final game has been reached, the positionassignment of such players at the designated table will be determined by random draw.30. Players exhibiting inappropriate behaviour can be penalized. Penalties include: verbal warning,time‐out from playing an increasing number of rounds and disqualification. Penalties applied willbe entirely at the Tournament Supervisor’s discretion.31. When more than one player is eliminated in the same Tournament hand, the player who startedthe hand with the highest stake will end with the highest rank among concerned players, providedthat they played at the same table. It isunderstood that there cannot be a tie for 1st place.32. At the last stage of a Tournament, players in the final game who have the most tournament chipswill receive, as appropriate, a Tournament prize matching their rank as indicated Appendix B. Theplayer who finishes the Tournament with all the tournament chips will be declared the first-place(1st) winner and will receive first (1st) prize, as indicated in the tables presented in Appendix B ofthe rules herein. The other players will receive, as appropriate, the remaining prizes according totheir rank at elimination, as described in the tables presented in Appendix B.33. The SCQ will require each player to show a valid form of government‐issued photo ID beforeawarding a prize, if any.34. Prizes must be accepted “as is” and cannot be exchanged or transferred. The SCQ reserves theright to replace a prize with another of equal value.35. The name, address and photograph of each Tournament player as well as any other informationvoluntarily provided can be used by the SCQ for advertising, promotional or other purposes. Inthis regard, players must waive all rights to broadcasting, printed material, advertising orcompensation of any kind whatsoever.36. In taking part in a Tournament, players will be deemed to have agreed to their likeness beingrecorded and broadcast by media present in the Casino for purposes related to the Tournament(including in social media). In this regard, players must waive all rights to broadcasting, advertisingor compensation of any kind whatsoever.37. Players who give written notice of their withdrawal from a tournament at least twenty-four (24)hours before the start of a major tournament, or one (1) hour before the start of othertournaments, can be reimbursed the tournament fee indicated in Section 2 of the rules herein,with the exception of players who received the Tournament seat as a prize, in which case noreimbursement or compensation will be paid.38. The SCQ reserves the right to cancel or amend a Tournament in a manner that is fair to players.The SCQ also reserves the right to amend the rules herein, in which case revised rules will be madeavailable to the public.39. The SCQ declines all responsibility towards anyone should the Tournament be canceled orchanged.40. In the event that the SCQ cancels the Tournament, registration fees paid in accordance withSection 2 of the rules herein will be refunded to players.41. Players agree to comply with the rules herein, Texas Hold’em poker rules, general poker roomrules as well as other rules and conditions applicable in SCQ casinos and, in so doing, agree tocontribute to the smooth operation of the Tournament.42. Any dispute arising during the Tournament will be submitted as appropriate to the TournamentSupervisor, whose rulings will be final and binding.43.
