Foundations of Biblical Prosperity: Part 1#Read through the lecture notes as you are listening to the MP3 lecture. Make sure totake notes as the Holy Spirit speaks to your heart.1.The Last Few WeeksThe last few weeks, God has really turned up the volume in teaching me new truths in depths Ihave not experienced in a long time. The KAW2 course has taken on a depth that I did notrealize was there – along with a greater anointing.Several days ago, God began teaching me about Biblical Prosperity. There is so much morethan seedtime and harvest! The principle of seedtime and harvest has been about worked todeath in the Body of Christ. In actuality, it makes up about 10% of what the Word teaches onprosperity!2.Back to the Beginninga. Before the FallGenesis 1:26-28 (NKJV)26Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let themhave dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, overall the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 So God createdman in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He createdthem. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill theearth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, andover every living thing that moves on the earth."Genesis 2:15-17 (NKJV)15Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.16And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you mayfreely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in theday that you eat of it you shall surely die."There are several things that we need to realize about the Garden: God placed man in the Garden with everything that he needed. In the midst of everything he needed, man was given commandments to work andto guard. (As well as not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.)4 Foundations of Biblical Prosperity

There was no resistance to his efforts in the Garden.b. After the FallGenesis 3:17-19 (NKJV)17Then to Adam He said, "Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and haveeaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it': "Cursedis the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. 18 Boththorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. 19 Inthe sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it youwere taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return."Now the earth resisted the efforts of the man. We need to realize this on three levels:1.Man is made of earth – therefore internal resistance was placed withinman. This includes thorns and thistles.2.The earth itself – weeds became a reality.3.An earthly system would develop from the thorns and thistles within thehearts of men.3.A Glimpse of the New Earthly SystemGenesis 4:1-8 (NKJV)1Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, "I haveacquired a man from the Lord." 2 Then she bore again, this time his brother Abel. NowAbel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. 3 And in the process oftime it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the Lord. 4Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the Lord respectedAbel and his offering, 5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was veryangry, and his countenance fell. 6 So the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Andwhy has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if youdo not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."8Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.God had given a commandment on what type of sacrifice was acceptable. Obedience to thecommandment would overcome the curse, and the individual would be acceptable to God.Abel obeyed the commandment and was accepted. Thorns and thistles had grown up in theheart of Cain, who rejected the commandment of God. He chose to do things his way andDEMANDED that God accept it. When God did not, he did not repent – he grew angry with Abel(who had kept the commandment.)The earthly system will always destroy the blessing!5 Foundations of Biblical Prosperity

4.The Development of the Earthly SystemNoah had one bad son: HamHam had two sons that became major players in developing the earthly system. (Ham had foursons in total.)Mizriam – the Founder of EgyptCush – the Co‐Founder of Babylon, along with his son Nimrod.Genesis 10:8-9 (NKJV)Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth. 9 He was a mighty hunterbefore the Lord; therefore it is said, "Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord."8Before: Strongs # H6440 ynIP'paniym {paw-neem'} pl. Foundations of Biblical Prosperity: Part 2#Read through the lecture notes as you are listening to the MP3 lecture. Make sure totake notes as the Holy Spirit speaks to your heart.ReviewIn lesson one, we discovered that after the Fall of Man, two systems emerged on the Earth toovercome the curse: I.God’s System ‐ commandments that produce a blessing. The Babylonian/Egyptian System – stockpiling curses on others to artificially produceselective blessings.A Call Out of Babylon & EgyptGenesis 12:1-3 (NKJV)1Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And fromyour father's house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I willbless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless thosewho bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of theearth shall be blessed."a.Get out of your country. This was a call of God for Abram to leave Babylon. The concept of “from your family andyour father’s house” represents leaving “the old ways of doing things” behind.b.I will bless you and make you a blessing.God was going to “bless” Abram by teaching him new ways of walking, living, and being. As I detailed in “The Simplicity of Walking with God,” Abram was given instruction byGod:Genesis 17:1 (NKJV)When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said tohim, "I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless.1We found that “be thou perfect” is not what the Hebrew says. A more accuratetranslation would read:8 Foundations of Biblical Prosperity

“Come, walk with Me and I will make you complete, sound, wholesome, entire, healthful, and having integrity.”As Abraham walked with God, He began to instruct him on how to live God’s waysinstead of the ways of Babylon. The new walk was a blessing in Abraham. The resultwas he became a blessing that others benefited from.c.The Children of IsraelThe children of Israel had been in Egypt for 400 years. The ways of Egypt (and Babylon)had turned the people of God from honored guests to beaten slaves. Egypt prosperedby stockpiling the curse on God’s people.God sent a man named Moses as a deliverer to free His people from a nation ofdarkness to become a nation of light to the world. Although Moses had taken them outof Egypt, his great problem was:Egypt was still in the hearts of the people. The ways of Egypt were entrenched into their thinking! They had been so long awayfrom what God had established in Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, that although they werefree, they were still captive to the system of Egypt! The Cure – the Law of God!d.God’s People TodayRevelation 18:1-8 (NKJV)1After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having greatauthority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. 2 And he cried mightily with aloud voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwellingplace of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hatedbird! 3 For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kingsof the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth havebecome rich through the abundance of her luxury." 4 And I heard another voice fromheaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest youreceive of her plagues. 5 For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has rememberedher iniquities. 6 Render to her just as she rendered to you, and repay her double accordingto her works; in the cup which she has mixed, mix double for her. 7 In the measure thatshe glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment andsorrow; for she says in her heart, 'I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not seesorrow.' 8 Therefore her plagues will come in one day--death and mourning and famine. And she will be utterly burned with fire, for strong is the Lord God who judges her.9 Foundations of Biblical Prosperity

God has to call us out of the Babylonian system before He can judge it! We can heed Hiscall now or be judged with it!Big Deal – I Got Gold!Revelation 18:10-13 (NKJV)10standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, 'Alas, alas, that great cityBabylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.' 11 And themerchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys theirmerchandise anymore: 12 merchandise of gold and silver, precious stones andpearls, fine linen and purple, silk and scarlet, every kind of citron wood, everykind of object of ivory, every kind of object of most precious wood, bronze, iron, and marble; 13 and cinnamon and incense, fragrant oil and frankincense, wine andoil, fine flour and wheat, cattle and sheep, horses and chariots, and bodies andsouls of men.The Coming Gold Bubble!II.Concepts of Universal LawsAt Mount Sinai, God gave His divine, universal laws for success. Today, much of the Body ofChrist believes we have been freed from the Law by the completed work of Messiah. This is agrave misinterpretation of the teachings of Paul. Here are some facts: Jesus freed us from our sin, not the Law.In historic Israel and the Church, during great times of spiritual awakenings, the Law ofGod was highly esteemed. During downward spirals toward a severe backslidden state, the Law of God was always dismissed.Today our ministers tell us that the Law is not applicable to us and then use selectedcommandments when it is convenient for their purposes. In the secular market, those on the cutting edge of business, productivity and wealthmanagement stress that there are universal laws that cannot be changed. OnYahoo.Com, there are 61,500,000 websites that affirm the existence of universal laws toprosper!Luke 16:8 (NKJV)8So the master commended the unjust steward because he had dealt shrewdly. For the sons ofthis world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.Luke 16:8 (NLT)8“The rich man had to admire the dishonest rascal for being so shrewd. And it is true that thechildren of this world are more shrewd in dealing with the world around them than are thechildren of the light.10 Foundations of Biblical Prosperity

III.The Purpose of the Law of GodJoshua 1:7-9 (NKJV)7Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the lawwhich Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to theleft, that you may prosper wherever you go. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart fromyour mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to doaccording to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, andthen you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of goodcourage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you whereveryou go."Psalms 1:1-3 (NKJV)1Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the pathof sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord,And in His law he meditates day and night. 3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the riversof water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; Andwhatever he does shall prosper.Psalms 19:7-11 (NKJV)The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; Thecommandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More tobe desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and thehoneycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there isgreat reward.7When we meditate on the Law of God, it does something within us.We are like the children of Israel that Moses delivered out of Egypt. We have been translatedout of spiritual Babylon, but we still think, live, act and define ourselves by Babylonianstandards!Meditating on the Word of God, in particular the Torah, has the power to begin changing theway we think about things. We move from thinking like a Babylonian to thinking like Jesus –the perfect Hebrew! When we allow the Law to set boundaries that we will never cross, we willfind that within those boundaries are blessings that God has established.11 Foundations of Biblical Prosperity

IV.The Scope of the Laws of GodIn our assembly, we have discussed in length how it is pagan (Greco‐Roman) to cut apart ourlives into different segments and convince ourselves one does not influence the others. We areone whole being. We cannot separate our financial prosperity from all of the other areas of ourlives. A Hebraic approach is a holistic approach. Most authors that write on true success and productivity divide life into five areas. Althougheach author will give them different names, they will fall into five ialFive is the Number ofGraceThe commandments of God deal with all five categories. When you are moving with God andHis Kingdom (i.e. His rules, laws, commandments, statutes & judgments), you are moving in thefull grace of God.GenesisExodusLeviticusNumbersDeuteronomyThe Five Books of the Law –The Number of GRACEGod’s Law under the direction of the Holy Spirit GRACEPersonal Notes12 Foundations of Biblical Prosperity

Foundations of Biblical Prosperity: Part 3#Read through the lecture notes as you are listening to the MP3 lecture. Make sure totake notes as the Holy Spirit speaks to your heart.I.The Need for the Commandments in AmericaDeuteronomy 28:1-2 (NKJV)1"Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, toobserve carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord yourGod will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall comeupon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:We need to realize that because of Jesus, we were grafted into Israel. When He grafted us in,He also grafted us into the blessings of Deuteronomy 28. There is not one scripture in the NewTestament for the believer that does away with verses 1 & 2, allowing us to get directly toverses 3‐14. In fact, I can easily show you from these scriptures that God had New TestamentBelievers also in mind when He wrote it!a.Diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God.This verse does not speak of obeying the voice of Moses, the priests, or the prophets. Inthe Old Testament economy, only the prophet, priest and king could have the Holy Spiritcome upon them to speak to them and through them.It was only under the completed work of Jesus, at the Cross, that all of God’s peoplewould have the Holy Spirit dwelling on the inside of them. Only believers in Messiahwould ever have a chance to hear and diligently obey the VOICE of the LORD their God!b.Observe carefully all of His commandments.John 14:15-18 (NKJV)"If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will pray the Father, and Hewill give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-- 17 the Spirit oftruth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knowsHim; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will notleave you orphans; I will come to you.1514 Foundations of Biblical Prosperity

Similar to Deut. 28:1‐2, Jesus connects the commandments and the indwelling of theHoly Spirit. For the first time in history, through what Jesus accomplished, God’s peoplecould fully walk in Deut. 28!c.The Results of Hearing God, Obeying and Keeping the Commandments“that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. 2 And allthese blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey thevoice of the Lord your God:”(1).God would set them high above every nation of the earthAmerica WAS called the “city set on a hill.”(2).Blessed in Life and ProductionDeuteronomy 28:3-6 (NKJV)3Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. 4Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and theincrease of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of yourflocks. 5 Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. 6 Blessedshall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.(3).Blessed in Divine ProtectionDeuteronomy 28:7 (NKJV)"The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeatedbefore your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee beforeyou seven ways.7(4).Blessed in Financial ProsperityDeuteronomy 28:8 (NKJV)8The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and inall to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which theLord your God is giving you.Deuteronomy 28:11-12 (NKJV)11And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, inthe increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in theland of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. 12 The Lord willopen to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land inits season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to manynations, but you shall not borrow.15 Foundations of Biblical Prosperity

II.The Results of Losing Our Core Values Based on God’sCommandments America is no longer in ascendancy.America used to be the bread basket of the world – now we import 63% of all of ourfood from other nations.America used to be the nation that lent money to help other nations – now America is indebt trillions of dollars to China and other nations.America used to be a nation victorious in battle – we have not won a war since WW2.We even renamed the Korean War and the Vietnam War as police actions to save face. There is no winning or losing in a police action. The war on terror is not going so welland may last decades.America used to have the divine protection of God on it. Our enemies have hit withinour borders, easily crossing our borders. Drought, natural disasters and pestilence aredestroying our food supplies. We are like Samson. We have gotten into sin and we are shaking ourselves to get the strengthand blessing of God to flow. We refuse to believe it is not flowing, and the Philistines areknocking at the door!III.Repentance and a Return to the Ways of God Our Only Cure2 Chronicles 7:12-14 (NKJV)12Then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: "I have heard yourprayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. 13 When I shut upheaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilenceamong My people, 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear fromheaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.Repent and return to the ways of God!Personal Notes16 Foundations of Biblical Prosperity
