WELCOME To NAATP Leadership 2016!2016National Associationof Addiction TreatmentProviders (NAATP)Annual ConferenceOn behalf of all of us at the National Association of Addiction TreatmentProviders, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our 38th National AddictionLeadership Conference. NAATP has always believed in the idea of comingtogether in a spirit of collegiality and information exchange. Through thisprocess, we improve our respective services and enhance the addictionindustry as a whole. We are pleased once again to serve as a host andconvener of the national addiction provider community. We come togetherthis year with over 500 attendees, 60 distinguished faculty members, and100 exhibitors.naatp.orgOur conference theme, Treatment System Evolution and Synthesis, illustrates that we are at a juncture in our field where it is important to takestock of our evolutionary path and make well-informed decisions about howwe provide care. Rather than polarizing and dichotomizing our views oversuch matters as science and spirit, we should integrate and synthesize bestpractices into the best possible model of care. This comes at a time whenour environment is challenged by complex economic structures and highlycompetitive, and sometimes unethical, practices in business developmentand treatment delivery.New NAATPNational HeadquartersThe Chancery BuildingDowntown, Denver, Colorado2016 is also a crossroads year for NAATP as we moved to Denver, retained new staff, installed an IT system, developed a new strategicplan, rebranded the organization, launched a new website and memberdatabase, and enhanced our member services and communicationsprocess. It has been a busy and productive 12 months since we last met.We are excited to show you our progress.Send Your Center’s Mugto the NAATP Wall ofTreatment Center MugsJoin Us this Summer,July 13 for the NAATPOpen HouseThanks for coming. Please enjoy the conference and consider this request:Attend the sessions and be part of the whole. Don’t isolate or pull folksaway from the group at large. NAATP is a professional society and weshould take advantage of this time to be together for the good of us all.Marvin Ventrell, NAATP Executive DirectorNAATP Staff at the NewHeadquarters in Denver.Jessica Swan, Marvin Ventrell,Katie Strand, and Tiffany Rode.THANK YOU:Katie Strand, NAATP Director of Operations and Conference ManagerCarl Kester, Board of Directors ChairCathy Palm, Conference Committee ChairDebbie Sanford, Past Committee ChairAnn Bown, CommitteePaul Hackman, CommitteeRuth Ann Rigby, CommitteeMike Early, Golf ChairTiffany Rode, StaffJessica Swan, Staff45
