Program Actions are changes to existing programs that are significant enough to require approval bythe New York State Department of Education (NYSED) or new registrations heavily based upon existingprograms also requiring approval of (NYSED).Campus Academic Policies are unique to a single CUNY institution but affect a large segment of thecampus student population.General Education Courses are new or modified courses that the college or school seeks to add to itsgeneral education offerings in a designated category. These courses have been vetted by a universitywide faculty committee.

The academic policies forundergraduate certificates with respect tosuch matters as GPA and residencyrequirements will mirror those of theCollege's academic minors.Students will no longer be bound by degreerequirements when they enter the collegeif newer requirements present the studentwith options that are of interest to thestudent.College Honors is being renamed to CollegeLatin Honors. The number of creditscompleted at Lehman is being loweredfrom 60 to 50. The indexable credits shouldmatch, so it is increased from 42 to 50expanding honors eligibility to morestudents. The minimum cumulative goesfrom 3.4 to 3.5. GPA requirements areraised as follows: Cum laude - 3.5-3.74;Magna cum laude - 3.75-3.84; Summa cumlaude - 3.85-4.0.
