Grant ActivitiesCo-Principal Investigator for a 320,000 grant (25% credit) from the Corporation for Nationaland Community Service from fall 2010 to 2012 designed to address “Nonprofit CapacityBuilding: Performance Measurement System. This grant is designed to work with ten (10)nonprofit organizations developing organization specific performance measures and system tocollect the data in normal operations.Principal Investigator in 2009 for a 60,000 grant (50% credit) from the National Council ofResearch Administrators to develop a completely online Master of Research Administrationprogram - A white paper for this program was approved in 2010, an implementation plan waswritten, and the program was approved in the spring of 2011. The first students admitted into the36-hour graduate program in the fall of 2011.8

Faculty Advisor in 2005 for a WMFE Research Project, which supported one student for 1,000(100% credit) to conduct research on local county and city grant funding. The findings of thisresearch will be shared with the local nonprofit community to increase their ability to securefunding from local governments.Faculty Advisor in 2004 for an Orange County Health Department grant of 100,000 which paidthe Department of Public Administration to provide capacity building to local nonprofit agencies.As a faculty advisor supervised three students writing four grants each for three nonprofitorganizations – The Guardian, Abundant Fruits, and The Center for Multicultural Wellness andPrevention, Inc.Grant proposal supervision in 2004 of a student in an independent study, who wrote a proposalfor a grant from the Brevard County United Way for 1,352 to support a neighborhood groupcreating a community park. The proposal was accepted, and the student formed the neighborhoodgroup and coordinated the creation of the Hardee Circle Park.
