For more than a dozen years we Senior Priests, Veterans of theCampaign, have made our annual retreat together. We learned experientially that Faith, Hope and Love, wonderfully interwoven, are the driving force of our lives. Under the inspiration of Pope John Paul II and Pope Benedict weadvanced toward full communion with God in concrete communion with one another. Our joyful experience has nowbeen confirmed and validated by Lumen Fidei, the first encyclical of Pope Francis. This marvelous document will serveas the basis for our retreat. Weanticipate that the Light ofFaith will restore the primacyof God in Christ to the centerof our lives, both as Churchand as individuals. We knowthat when we dwell on themystery of our priestly vocation in fraternal companionship rather than as isolatedindividuals, our insights havebecome richer and moreenduring.6 Class NotesFall 2015
