Marshall University Graduate CatalogGRADUATEAbout This CatalogThe Marshall University Graduate Catalog fulfills two primaryfunctions:1. The rules and regulations, policies and procedures of theUniversity, its divisions and its governing body, all of which applyto all students, are contained in this document. These rules applyduring the publication period of the document and are subjectto change during that year upon recommendation of the variousdivisions and approval of the president or governing body of theUniversity.2. The Catalog contains the specific requirements for all degrees andcertificates awarded by the University. These are normally in effectfor a period of ten consecutive years for undergraduate degreesand certificates and seven consecutive years for graduate degreesand certificates. If you elect to fulfill the old requirement but find thatnecessary resources (e.g., courses, instruction in particular skills)are no longer available, you may make reasonable substitutes withthe approval of your advisor and the appropriate graduate dean.
