The Liebert 2U POD provides maintenanceOptional Liebert 2U POD output distribution andmaintenance bypass module ensures continuousuptime, even during UPS maintenance.bypass capability as well as power output distribution. TheLiebert 2U POD can be used with your Liebert GXT UPSsystem in either the rack mount or tower configuration.The Liebert 2U POD allows you to manually transferyour connected equipment to utility power via amaintenance bypass switch, permitting scheduledmaintenance or UPS replacement without powerdisruption. Transferring back to UPS power is equallyeasy; simply turn the switch to the indicated positionand your load is protected by the UPS.Use of the Liebert 2U POD offers many benefits:Provides utility power to your attached equipmentwhen switched to maintenance bypass mode.Allows UPS maintenance or replacement of the UPSThe Liebert 2U POD has two modes of operation,UPS mode (UPS available) and utility mode(maintenance bypass). Communications ForPower Monitoring And ControlThe Liebert GXT offers a variety of communications options to provide the monitoring and controlcapabilities demanded by today’s network computing systems.Liebert Intellislot SNMP/Web CardFor enhanced UPS communications and control, the Liebert Intellislot SNMP/Web Card willdeliver SNMP and web-management communications capability to your Liebert GXT unit. Thisfeature will provide flexibility in how you monitor and control your UPS over the network. It is available in both single and multi-user versionsand is designed to run on a wide variety of operating platforms. During an extended utilityfailure, Liebert MultiLink automatically shuts down computer operating systems in a smoothand orderly manner if UPS battery capacity runs low. Liebert MultiLink is designed to keep usersinformed. Notification about critical alarms can be sent to alphanumeric pagers or directlyto the computer screen via pop-up messages. Liebert MultiLink may be configured for eitherin-band or out-of-band operation. Using the network to send alarm messages and data candramatically reduce cable and installation costs. Alternatively, separate communications cablescan be run to each computer when network wiring is a concern.7
